We respect your privacy and your right to control your personal data. This page explains how you can request the deletion of your data from our recuerdos.app service.
What Data Can Be Deleted?
You can request deletion of:
- Your phone number from our records
- Message history between you and our service
- Any media files you've shared with us
- User preferences and interaction data
How to Request Data Deletion
You have two convenient methods to request deletion of your data:
Method 1: Via WhatsApp Message
- Open WhatsApp and go to our business chat
- Send a message with the text: "DELETE MY DATA"
- You will receive a confirmation message acknowledging your request
- Your data will be deleted within 30 days
- You will receive a final confirmation once the deletion is complete
Method 2: Via Email
- Send an email to: info@recuerdos.app
- Use the subject line: "Data Deletion Request - recuerdos.app"
- Include your WhatsApp phone number (including country code)
- We will respond within 48 hours to confirm receipt of your request
- Your data will be deleted within 30 days
- You will receive a confirmation email once the deletion is complete
⚠️ Important Information
- Processing Time: Data deletion requests are processed within 30 days
- Irreversible: Once your data is deleted, it cannot be recovered
- Service Access: After deletion, you will no longer receive messages from our service
- Legal Retention: Some data may be retained if required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., fraud prevention)
What Happens After Deletion?
Once we process your deletion request:
- All your personal data will be permanently removed from our active systems
- You will receive a confirmation message/email
- You can re-subscribe to our service at any time by sending a new message
- Backup copies will be deleted within 90 days as part of our regular backup rotation
Data Not Controlled by Us
Please note that:
- We cannot delete data stored by WhatsApp on their servers. Please refer to WhatsApp's Privacy Policy for their data deletion procedures.
- Messages stored on your own device are not affected by this deletion request
